Here are some useful tips... Plan plenty of time for your visit the archives. You may need to view several items, browse through our catalogues or look through the books in our library.  If you are a first time visitor, you will need to register for a CARN ticket (this is like a library card). Please bring proof of identity with your name, address and signature on. Lockers are available for your personal belongings. Only notebooks and pencils are allowed in the archives search room. Every archive is listed in our catalogues and given an unique reference number. Most items are available on request, but some require permission from their owners first and others may be too fragile to handle. All records should be handled with care Help and guidance is always at hand from our staff in the search room. Food or drink is not permitted. |
